The South Hadley Cable Studio is a department of the Town of South Hadley, providing Public Access, Education, and Government (PEG) programming to the South Hadley community on local Comcast cable channels 15 & 12 and on the World Wide Web.

The studio’s purpose is to FACILITATE the production and broadcasting of programming produced by residents of South Hadley and to provide programs of interest to the residents from other sources.

The idea of community television is to empower the people within a community to produce their OWN programming. The studio is NOT a “for-hire” production facility nor are we able to provide technical staff to create programming for individuals.

Training, cameras, and production equipment is available to anyone who lives or works in South Hadley who wishes to generate programming for Channel 15. Equipment is not available to loan for private use only.

We also provide a continuously updated Community Message Board that posts the events and messages of interest to South Hadley. The soundtrack to the message board features the music of many talented area musicians and is always accepting new submissions.

South Hadley Community TV’s Mission

  • Provide live and recorded coverage of South Hadley Municipal meetings
  • Meet production equipment training needs of faculty, staff and students in the South Hadley School District for the purpose of developing education and training materials and integrating video into the classroom.
  • Provide South Hadley citizens and those non-citizens who work in the non-profit community with channel time, production equipment, training and technical assistance free of charge for the production and presentation of noncommercial programs.
